What full color is

A full color or a refresh?

Short version: change everything, or just keep the roots covered.

All-over

Full Color

A single process from roots to ends. Shift your whole tone, go darker or richer, cover gray top to bottom, or bring back an all-over shine. This is the one when you want a real change or full coverage.

Between visits

Color Retouch

Covers new growth and gray at the root and matches your existing shade exactly. Quicker and easier on your budget, the maintenance visit that keeps your color looking done every four to six weeks.

Color correction

Color that didn’t go to plan? Box-color grow-outs, brassy blondes, banding, an old color that won’t let go, they’re all correctable, and they all start the same way.

Every correction begins with a consultation and an honest timeline. Some are a single session; a big transformation is sometimes two or three, spaced out to protect your hair. We’d always rather tell you that up front than over-promise, damage your hair, and leave you worse off than you came in. Bring photos of where you are and where you want to be, and we’ll build the plan together, including what it costs, before anything starts.

What to expect

Color is chemistry. We mix to your hair, your history, and the tone you actually want, so the result reads the way it did in your head, not the way it looked on a box.

  1. The conversation

Your stylist looks at your hair and its history, talks through the tone you want, and gives you your final quote. Bring a photo if you have one.

  2. The work

Custom-mixed, applied, processed, washed, and finished. Settle in; nobody is watching the clock behind you.

  3. Keeping it

A glaze between visits and the right shampoo at home make color last. Your stylist will tell you exactly what to use.

Glaze

A demi-permanent gloss that refreshes your color tone, eliminates brassiness, and seals the cuticle for an ultra-shiny, healthy finish. The simplest way to keep color looking fresh between full applications.

Hair color questions, answered straight

At Adelaide Beauty, a color retouch starts at $90, a partial at $100, and a full single-process color at $130. Final price depends on your hair’s length and density, and your stylist confirms it in your consultation before anything starts.

Yes. A Full Color covers gray root to end and resets your all-over tone; a Color Retouch keeps new growth and gray covered at the root between visits. Your stylist will match your existing shade exactly.

Yes, and it always starts with a consultation. Box-color grow-outs, brassy blondes, banding, an old color that won’t budge, we see them all, and we’ll give you an honest timeline before any work starts. Big corrections sometimes take more than one session to do without damaging your hair.

Most guests come in every four to six weeks for a Color Retouch, depending on how fast your roots grow and how much contrast there is with your natural color. A glaze in between keeps the tone fresh.

Single-process color changes or deepens your whole tone and covers gray. Highlights add brightness and dimension in foils. If you want lift and contrast rather than a solid shade, start there. More on highlights
